Chicago Muslim Dental Society
March 17, 2010The Chicago Muslim Dental Society had its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Select in Naperville, Illinois. CMDS started in the Name of God, and pray that He helps CMDS succeed, help one another, and help the community.
Dr. Khaja Mohsinuddin started the group and created the bylaws along with Dr. Hammad Aziz, Dr. Hammad Khan, Dr. Yosif Jabir, and Dr. Otto Qahwash. These doctors worked diligently and without any reward in order to make this meeting possible. May Allah bless them!
CMDS had the honor of having over 20 local dentists present, and three amazing and noteworthy senior doctors including Dr. Muzzaffir Mirza, Dr. Ibrahim Mamsa, and Dr. Imaad Shaikh. Dr. Mirza has a couple of practices in the Chicago area and has helped countless dentists succeed. Dr. Mamsa is a pioneer in the dental implant world, and has taught many doctors the art and science of implant dentistry. Dr. Shaikh is a fantastic dentist with multiple offices in Chicago's suburbs and has inspired many young Muslims to pursue a career in dentistry through his High school apprentice program. One specialist was also in attendence: Dr. Hasan Othman, an orthodontist and PhD. Dr. Othman has a PhD in Bone Biology, has a beautiful office in Lombard, and is treating Dr. Umar Haque's Class III malocclusion. Another amazing entreprenuer, Dr. Reem Shafi, was in attendence. Dr. Shafi does amazing work for many people throughout the suburbs and enjoys working with Nobel implants.
